Beginning with a pavilion, then evolving to a stacked structure, and ending as a library, The People’s Library in the heart of Downtown Providence is designed to create a space for all members of the Providence community: all bodies, all abilities, all colors, and all identities are welcome. Spaces like these in cities with large college populations like Providence are extremely important for the general wholeness of the community. The structure is completely accessible and creates green space which the city also desperately needs more of.
